by stilez, 6 years agoI installed this extension mainly to get "per website" desktop mode on Firefox for Android, for websites that dont show needed options in "mobile" view. I set the desktop user agent to be used on those domains + subdomains, via "custom" option (Google to get search tools, wikipedia for full user menu, etc). It works wonderfully and without issues, and it's clear it will completely revolutionise my mobile browsing. Wanted this for ages. Thank you - and you might want to mention this use in the description if it's useful to others. **Update/suggestion - allow a 2nd kind of custom list, for regex site matches, so one can apply the same user agent to multiple/similar sites, or to a regex site match, without need to re-enter the agent numerous times or update when the list of sites changes, because the regex will capture it. Make it a new category (wnd type of "custom list") so those not used to regex aren't frustrated by syntax => keeps the existing "simple" custom version working as-is for everyone.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Clair De Lune, 4 hours agoThe extension used to work fine, until a recent update. Per-container UAs stopped working... Or in fact, the extension as a whole stopped working at all. No changes would make it work again.

- Rated 1 out of 5by FF user 0, 17 days ago🔹It worked well before the new update. 🔹After the new update, all of the multi- account container becomes sharing the same user agent. 🔹I am using portable firefox with multi-ac containers for nearly 3 to 4 years. 🔹After update the new version of user-agent switcher and manager, 🔹all of the containers share the same user agent and cannot set different user agents for each container alternately.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Jeremy Storly, 20 days agoThis addon has taught me that nearly all web sites that supposedly aren't compatible with Firefox actually are compatible. I use this at work, on my android phone, and on my home PC as well. It's an essential addon, in my opinion, and I've had nothing but success.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14347746, 2 months agoThis doesn't work. I have to manually change the user agent on every startup or time interval. I don't need a data thieving, resource wasting, pretend add-on for that. There is a "Random User-Agent (Switcher)" that works perfectly and is very simple to set up.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Anona Mause, 3 months agoUnfortunately I have discovered that the current version of this add-on triggers the Cloudflare 'Captcha of Death' denying access to hundreds of web-sites and as such I have deactivated it.
