LastPass Password Manager by LastPass

by Joe, 4 years agoNow that LastPass is the most popular password manager, and millions use it regularly, LastPass has decided to begin charging you for use. As of yesterday, if you do not start paying for the premium service, they will lock out all except for one of your devices. Oh, and you no longer have access to customer support as a free user either. Did you use this for both your phone and your computer? Now you're locked out of one until you begin to pay.
Pure extortion. Luckily, it takes about 5 minutes to transfer all your passwords to Bitwarden (they even give you a simple step-by-step as to how), which does the exact same job as LastPass, just as securely, and it remains FREE.
Do not use LastPass. Save your money and use Bitwarden, which is open source and will always remain free.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Steve Penstone, 18 days agoI have LastPass on desktop and laptop. The desktop extension's passwordless login continually crashes, freezing Firefox and forcing me to reboot.
I have have uninstalled and reinstalled the extension three times now, with the same issue coming up each time.
The extension in Vivaldi and Chrome does not cause this problem, nor do I have a problem in Firefox on my laptop.
My frustration level is growing exponential and it may be time to find a more reliable alternative - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17317379, 18 days ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Redd Hott, 23 days agoIt used to be quite good, but now it either fails to log me in or runs incredibly slowly. I don't think this is down to their website, as the Chrome version of the extension on Vivaldi seems too work far better and quicker; ergo the FF add-on may not be up to the job. I have reinstalled the FF version, which seems to make a slight difference, but I expect these problems will recur.
I pay for Lastpass, and I'm afraid that as its annual cost has risen, its performance and overall security have fallen. There are other PMs that are better. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13593048, 25 days ago
