This extension uses artificial intelligence to summarize YouTube videos.

It's a huge time saver to have a video summary before deciding to watch it.
Many videos with catchy titles are disappointing.

It uses subtitles to do its summary.

(Even if they are "bad" the summary can be surprisingly good).

But if there are no subtitles or if they are not representative of the video (background music only for example) the result will be bad.

It will ask you to subscribe to a POE account. It is POE that provides access to artificial intelligence models.
This account is absolutely free, but with daily usage limits.
You can easily open it with your Google or Apple account, or with an email address.

We recommend one of the first two solutions, which are simpler.

Unlike other extensions, this extension DOES NOT COLLECT ANY OF YOUR DATA! Neither on your POE account, nor on your Youtube account, nor anywhere else.

When the daily limit of a free POE account is reached, you must wait until the next day to use the extension.
If you want to have more summaries without waiting, you can also subscribe to a (paid) account with their services with much higher limits. This will also allow you to use all the chatbots on their site (ChatGPT, Gemini, Anthropic Claude, Dalle-e...) for other purposes.

And for those who want to know why we use Poe and not ChatGPT, the answer is that POE provides more messages than ChatGPT in the free version and gives access to several artificial intelligence models.
